What to Expect
In all our Certified Dog Groomer Programs, students can expect to spend about 4 hours a week on their online theory from home, 2 days a week in Class, and 1 day a week volunteering in one of our partner salons for additional workplace experience. All components and attendance to each is required as a part of their Certification. We provide models dogs through the Prestige Model Dog Program where we partner with many Breeders and Pet Owners to supply our students a variety of dogs to practice on during their program on their In Class days. Students then experience the work environment and learn more about how a fully operating grooming salon operates by completing 1 day a week of volunteer hours inside one of our Partner Salons. Students are offered LIFETIME ACCESS to our Full Online Certification Program as a BONUS to our In Person Programs. This program is designed to be a constant companion guide throughout their career! Prestige offers many Advanced Classes, Seminars, Webinars and even Private Classes for post graduates/existing groomers to continue their education. Prestige is here to see our students succeed and continue to evolve and develop the BEST in Pet Groomer Education in the Industry!
We encourage students to practice outside of school as much as possible during their program! We also encourage students to begin looking for employment early on so they can find the best fit where their continued education and support is available to them from their employer. Over 90% of our students are offered employment from our LIST of Employers Seeking Our Graduates BEFORE even leaving our program! The grooming industry is ever evolving and changing! Students should expect to continue to learn and grow throughout their entire career! Just like any trade upgrading and advanced classes are needed to progress in any career! fundamentals of dog grooming and get into the work force quickly and continue to learn in the field.

This program is designed to Help students gain all fundamental skills to enter the pet groomer work force! In this program students will have the opportunity to practice more advanced scissor work and be introduced to Breed Specific Hair Styles.

This program is designed to prepare students for more independent work as a solo groomer or even to open their own business. This program gives students many more practice hours as well as upgraded equipment kit to help them hone their skills for their future endeavors.

Basic Certified Dog Groomer 8 Week Program
• 8 Week Program. In just 8 weeks learn to groom dogs with very solid skills. Be ready to groom most ordinary pet grooms
independently and confidently.
• 72 hours Online Theory. This online theory can be done from the comfort of your own home at your own pace. One module per week will be required to be completed. All written exams and quizzes are inside our online theory and are open book examinations.
• LIFETIME ACCESS to our FULL Online Certification Course as a constant Companion. This program is used by hundreds of seasoned groomers throughout the world as an advanced training program to advance their skills! It is given to each of our prestige students as a lifetime support for them. The video tutorials are designed to be able to be watched and followed along anytime anywhere even at work from the grooming table!
• 80 hours in Class Hands-On Practice ( 2 days a week in class). Classes are held in your selected Prestige Campuses. Each
Campus is set up as a fully equipped Dog Grooming Salon. Giving our students a chance to see how an advanced facility
operates.
• Small Class Sizes. Prestige values our students education. We balance each classroom so that students have access to an instructor as needed but also have the chance to explore their talents freely! We provide many formats and materials for
students inside and outside the classroom so that all types of learners are able to shine here at Prestige!
• Experienced Certified Instructors. Our instructors are hand selected and trained to offer our students a variety or methods and
experiences, as to better prepare our students for the workforce. Students learn from the vast knowledge and varying experienced of our instructors. Because there are no standards in this nonregulated industry, It is important for students to learn to be adaptable and how to follow verbal and visual instruction so they can adapt to any future employers methods.

The Salon owners feedback and mark sheets will be added to students final marks to pass this course.
